The Judicial Council (JC) on Tuesday recommended six chief judges for various appellate courts and two acting chief judges as the justices of Supreme Court. A meeting of the Judicial Council made the recommendation today amidst usual criticism that the judges’ appointments were based on political favouritism instead of competence.
